Intern Housing is currently on a waiting list as of 3/11/2024. We cannot guarantee housing. If we are able to provide you with housing, we will email you to let you know, and so you can pay the $100 application fee. Only those who have paid the $100 application fee and received a confirmation email and receipt of payment will be housed.
About Intern Housing
UNC Charlotte offers safe, affordable housing on a traditional university campus for college students with internships or co-ops in the Charlotte area. UNC Charlotte is located in northeast Charlotte, conveniently located off North Tryon, I-85 and I-485. Our campus is less than 10 miles and approximately 20-30 minutes from Center City (Uptown) by car, and is directly connected to Center City by the Lynx Light Rail Blue Line Extension, making commuting to internships very convenient! Intern Housing will be in Wallis Hall and Miltimore Hall for summer 2024. Virtual tours of intern housing options are available here.
Wallis Hall
Open Sunday, May 19 at 9am - Saturday, August 3 at 12pm
(We cannot accommodate housing in Wallis before May 19 or after August 3)
2-person/2-bedroom suites (with community kitchens on each floor)
Suites come with 2 single-person bedrooms, a full bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower, and a living room with a 3-seat couch and TV stand. Each bedroom comes with a 80 twin-XL adjustable height bed, desk, desk chair, closet and 2-drawer dresser. A community kitchen is available on each floor, but interns must provide their own cookware and dishware.
Miltimore Hall
Sunday, May 26 at 9am - Saturday, August 3 at 12pm
(We cannot accommodate housing in Miltimore before May 26 or after August 3)

Intern Housing Details
- There is a $100 non-refundable application fee required when completing the application.
- To reserve a space in Intern Housing, applicants must submit the online application.
- 2-person/2-bedroom Suite with access to a community kitchen is $29.00* per person per contracted night.
- No housing is available past Saturday, August 3, 2024 due to preparation for the Fall 2024 academic year.
- Interns will see their balance prior to check-in. All payment must be received by July 15, 2024 or your checkout date, whichever comes first. Failure to pay could result in removal from Intern Housing, as well as notification to your internship location and/or host institution.
- Contract for Residential Services
Applications for intern housing will be accepted until Intern Housing fills up, which can be as early as March 1, 2024. If intern housing fills to capacity, a waiting list will be started. Housing is not guaranteed until the intern has paid their application fee and receives a confirmation email.
